Our Story
Built in Zambia, Tested in the Field.
Founded in 1975 with a clear national purpose, Zamseed was established to provide Zambian farmers with reliable, high-quality seed varieties suited to the country’s
diverse farming conditions.
Over the decades, Zamseed has evolved from a local seed producer into one of Zambia’s most recognized and trusted seed brands, focused on research, seed
innovation, agronomic support, and farmer engagement.
Today, Zamseed supplies maize, soya bean, wheat, sunflower, and vegetable seed varieties designed to meet the needs of both small-scale and commercial farmers.

Our heritage is rooted in the soil. Chiawa is where Zamseed proves its genetics — varieties are tested season after season against real Zambian heat, rainfall, pests and disease before they ever reach a farmer’s field.
